Open-Faced Stuffed Bell Peppers

As is evident from the pictures, slice through the bell peppers like so, remove the seeds and keep the cavities ready to be filled in with anything of your choice. You can fill them with flavoured rice, mashed potatoes or any filling of your choice.
I made some pasta along with boneless chicken. You can browse through any of my recipes on chicken especially the one which is sesame based. I have only used sliced onions, ginger garlic paste, loads of pepper powder and tossed it about with the pasta. Added salt to taste.

The main spice used here was Five Spice powder, added two tsp. of this spice as well while stir frying the chicken using any of my boneless chicken recipe seen in the previous posts. Filled the cavities with this pasta tossed about with this spiced chicken and grated cheese over each.

I did throw in a few chilly flakes and sprinkled some oregano over each capsicum. Remember the pasta is already filled with flavours from the rich chicken dish. Drizzle in some olive oil in a baking dish, place these now stuffed open-faced peppers in the baking dish and bake until the peppers turn soft and the cheese has melted.
 
These have to be served nice and warm. Vegetarians can stuff these peppers with a vegetarian version of a pasta. These can be had on its own or as a side dish with some grilled chicken or stir fried veggies.
 
Do refer my Pepper Chicken or Honey Sesame chicken for the stir fry chicken that went in along with the pasta.
