Stir Fried Brussel Sprouts with Broccoli

Although I have used the word 'Stir Fried' in my dish, I really haven't used much oil and didn't fry this too much as well. These two veggies remind me of the cartoon my kids used to watch when they were really small...The Power Puff Girls. I do remember like any kid those girls too didn't enjoy eating Broccoli and I've heard about many mothers who find it a daunting task to make their kids eat this.


To add to the already existing agony, I thought I would combine both the veggies and make it atleast appear tastier for the kids with all the right sauces. So here's the recipe-I've quartered both the veggies, and combined them in a wok along with a tbsp of olive oil and sliced onions. Chopped in a few garlic as well and as they were being sauteed, I added in a spicy chicken flavoured medium spiced powder and gave it all a good stir. Once cooked, added the salt and sprinkled pepper powder and added a tbsp of tomato sauce. It was then placed on simmer as the veggies absorbed in the sauce and spice. Keep it for a minute ot two. The dish is done.

You can make it creamier if you wish by adding in some cheesy flavour by baking the above dish with some shredded cheese of your choice.
