Tuna Sandwich
Although I did mention that I am allergic to fish...through trial and error and a lot of scratching and screaming my life out as a child, My parents, did discover that I could eat this canned tuna...the max I would feel some irritant in my palate for a while and then it would subside!
So today, I dedicate this dish to my parents who are no more with me in this world...thanks for your true dedication to make me feel wanted and belonged like the rest of my siblings who could eat fish! :(
So here's a very easy dish that even your three year old could do just watching you...
Take your canned tuna chunks which is easily available in any of your stores. Run the chunks in your food processor along with a dash of lemon, some ginger, peppercorns, cilantro, a green chilly, salt to taste and any spice to add to the kick you would want in your sandwich, if not...leave it plain. Take a good helping of a Garlic Mayo cream and toss that in as well and let them all process for a while until it resembles a creamy yet chunky spread. Please try out other stuff as well like gherkins, capers, jalapenos whatever...the choice is yours...the sandwich is yours as well :) and the tummy is yours!
Then lay out your slices of brown bread/Multigrain bread or any healthy bread, spread this tuna spread on one slice, place your sliced cucumbers, tomato, lettuce whatever you like on top of that, you could also add a slice of pepper cheese on the other slice, combine the two slices and that's it-Your Tuna Sandwich is good to go!
