Summer Fun with an omelette
Today was yet aother fun day with a few of my kitchen tools. Decided to do an omelette with a twist. Took out a few of the X'mas cookie cutters that my beloved had gifted me a few yrs ago and poured my beaten eggs in that mould which was placed on my griddle.
Omelette- I have just beaten two or three eggs, added in grated onions, cilantro, salt to taste and spinkled in pepper as well and placed the lightly greased cookie cutter moulds on the greased griddle and poured the eggs within the cavity of the mould. I guess I was just lucky that all the eggs behaved and were not moving around as they canbe a runny mess to handle at times. I did this on a simmer, the eggs will burn if the flame is high or medium. Placed a lid over the mould and let the egg cook through. Flip it once one side is done.
Not eggsactly great to view but then that's what summer fun is all about. Diced a few of my available fruits at home (the dark brown ones are dates),placed them in a scooped out papaya base. Slice through the base so that the papaya can stand on your plate, use the scooped out papaya as your diced fruit as well. Enjoy!
