I play a lot of tricks with my sons in the kitchen...those are some of my kitchen rules...little do they realize that many of the veggies that they aren't fond of, I ensure that it gets into their tummies by hook or by crook. And what better way to do it than shred and mince them and toss it cheekily into the meat of their choice. No brainstorming here...
So what don't they like? -peas,spinach/palak, cooked carrots and tofu/paneer. So the chef(moi) prepares the mince in this recipe with minced tofu, palak, onions and chicken. In a skillet, I let the diced onions sweat along with ginger-garlic paste, added some spices like pepper, chilly powder, some chicken fry masala(spice used to marinate chicken) and tossed in some melon seeds as well. Then added in all the minced stuff-spinach,tofu and chicken along with the required amount of salt. Oh, I did add some cilantro as well as they give a nice aroma and flavour to the stuffing.
This stuffing was then spooned into the dosas that were made on another skillet/tawa. Folded neatly and served with any chutney of your choice. I have used a simple raita made with onion and spicy Andhra chilly powder in curd. |
