A simple treat

When you feel you have some unexpected guests and you are wracking your brain about what to offer them for dessert...well you can always make my choco-almond balls which was shown in an earlier post, instead of shaping them into balls, place the mix in a cling film and roll it in the shape of a long cigar and keep it in the fridge.  Slice them once they are chilled and decorate it how I have done. The chocolate is used as the face of the sun, the rays were dates, deseeded and sliced and of course some fruit to go with it, mine are out of a can, sorry about that, I did so for contrast and as it was available in my larder...fresh fruits are always a better option.

The chocolate is the only thing that is really sweet here! So get creative guys!
