Baked Pasta with mixed herbs

Saute diced onions, broccoli, potatoes(I used it again as they were the left over of the kilo I bought the other day-check my potato with peanuts in a previous post recipe),chicken salami( you can used some remnants of a roasted chicken in lieu of the salami) in a tbsp of olive oil. Crush some garlic and rosemary over them. Add some basil and parsley as well. Infact, add whatever vegetables you like-Zucchini/coloured bell peppers will make your dish more presentable! While it is lightly frying, add a tbsp of flour as well.

Make your white sauce ahead of time. It is also known as roux. I have used very less butter and milk. If you add more I feel your dish will be richer in texture...but I alwys feel guilty when I use flour or butter:(

Once the roux is stirred well and lumps removed over a medium flame, allow it to cool and then add in a beaten egg. Temper all with salt and pepper. Add more herbs if you feel it doesn't smell inviting enough!

Oh yeah, srry, do keep aside some cooked pasta. Once your veggies are done, add the cooked pasta, toss them all well, check for salt and spices.

Garnish with shredded cheese(I have used mozarella)
