Beet-Walnut Salad

 Today's salad was two small beets, diced and sautéed in a little bit of oil. Alternatively you may bake them or steam them. I allowed it to just cook through. To it I added salt and pepper.
Added a handful of chopped walnuts and a nice drizzle ( about a tbsp. each )of balsamic vinegar in combination with olive oil. Toss well and have it fresh. I had it with some jeera rice.

That bottle did not last, it was just used as a representation, there was a gaping hole somewhere in between-perhaps it broke in transit when we got it from the shop. I just poured some oil for this picture and tossed the oil back into another oil jar.

I guess, I cannot salvage this beautiful bottle and it would be used as a backdrop for my images...Sigh!!! You would know exactly how I have been feeling since that discovery.
