When you are not able to scrape the entire coconut after using the sharp coconut scraper, one can use a spoon to scoop out the rest which are stubborn and still clinging on to the shell. My late mother used to do this and she would always tell me not to waste those tiny bits.

So invariably the spoon comes to my rescue during the last leg of my scraping.
