2015 & Brunch

The year began on a nice note. I did want to catch up with a few like minded buddies but I was pressed for time and so were they with each of our family commitments and personal work. Eventually, we did catch up at The Brew Room. Thank you so much for the suggestion!

Let's find out What's Brewing?

Oh well, we skipped the room and opted for the outdoors. The weather was pleasant, the company absolutely warm and mature! Loved the outdoors, yet to explore the indoors! But did see some huge bakes luring me with imaginary gesturing fingers..."Come and eat me!!" Oh Well, another day, another meet-up I guess!
This was the platter we started with-The Bruschetta Platter (Veg only). Absolutely delightful! As a person who explores and experiments with bread and bakes...Oh how simple yet magnificent it was in appearance, taste and texture!

I had come here on two occasions and both times, I enjoyed them and just popped the mushroom one (placed in the middle) One could almost predict the dressing and recipe.
                     Priced at Rs. 220/-
The healthiest person amongst us chose the Greek Salad in Multigrain. Nothing spectacular the friend said but for the fact that it sounded and seemed healthy!!! Spinach, Cheese and Olives tucked in...Oh yumm! I appreciate anybody who can stick to such regimes even when we are out to binge!!! I need to religiously understand and have pep talks with my stomach and my metabolism!!! Priced at Rs. 260/-
What's an outing without having my cuppa ?-hence a Classic Cappuccino it was!!! It did get cold after a while but that's because we were chatting away to bits, wonder if they would have warmed it up for me if I had requested...My bad! Priced at Rs.140/-

If no one was watching I would have naughtily played around with it making a milk foam mush and tried a selfie or two...
Such a pretty set up, the napkins!
The special of the day was their Cajun Spicy veg and that's what another friend had. The friend did say that the despite its rough appearance, the bread was very soft with sautĂ©ed mixed veggies and was downed with a House Blend.
All of us enjoyed that lil spicy dip in that cute dish. My two cents it's roasted red bell pepper...am not so sure! We thoroughly enjoyed that! This veg sandwich cost Rs. 260/-
Oh Well! I went in for a Lamb burger...my excuse I didn't have any breakfast ideally to feast on this. It was so good!!! Filled with succulent ground meat! Priced at Rs. 300/-
I didn't take the pic of the Coffee Frappe that the friend is having in the backdrop, it seems that was decent in taste and cost around Rs.175/-

Now this here which is in your face in the picture above is the House Blend!!! Oh Gregory House!!!(Hugh Laurie) Why is that we keep remembering you wherever we go??

Well this according to the friend was grainy owing to the Almond Milk but not bad in taste! Almost like the coffee frappe!!! It too was priced around Rs.175/-
Ideally located in the city tucked away from the busy traffic...Of course as we chose to sit outdoors we did hear a car or two honking away.
A very pleasant afternoon indeed! The bill did come in with an error or two and as I had noticed that, it went in for correction and returned with a smile of apology! We were stuffed, bid goodbyes and back to the humdrum of our individual lives. I will forever toast this occasion and it is etched in my heart as one of the fondest beginnings of 2015!

And not far away was another classic rendez-vous with a beloved friend! Time literally stood still for the both of us when we met here in this very same venue.

A perfect setting for two buddies to just while away our time...Will update the pics soon...

UPDATING :- This friend and I despite sitting down felt we were too close to the kitchen outlet and our conversations were merged with a couple of auto guys who were arguing in such high volume nearby!!!

So we did change seats and did sheepishly(mind talk) thank the people who were slowly leaving by then owing to which we were forced to be seated there!

My friend and I ordered the Bruschetta Platter again along with this Aubergine and Feta Parcels. During our almost three hour meeting, we took our time to savour each of these! The Bruschetta Platter was once again enjoyed to the core!

This Aubergine Feta Parcels was nice as well but did leave a bit of a sting to both our upper palates and inside the mouth. Was it the Feta? Or was it the dressing? It was a bit harsh for both of us but the presentation was what we took back to experiment with in our homes. We downed the discomfort with our beverages
This was priced at about Rs.250/- As we both weren't that hungry but indeed hungry to meet each other this was ordered to just keep us from being kicked out from the venue!!! I am sure they wouldn't! Just kidding!

The friend had this Fresh Lime Soda @Rs.125/- and I did have my packaged water and Classic Cappuccino!

This outing for the two of us who just had a couple of small bites came about Rs.450 per head which also included the taxes. I found the pricing alright considering the fact that I got to meet a buddy in such a wonderful ambiance! Oh we did brew so much there!!!!

After exchanging our simple and humble gifts, we hugged, kissed and headed our ways!!! New beginnings and superb genuine human relationships!!! yet another friendship I cherish and respect!
