Sandwiched Idlis

As the picture shows, absolutely simple in the procedure-make your Idlis-fermented rice and lentil steamed cake(shown in earlier posts) Either slice through the Idli if it is nice and huge and fill anything you desire within the slices or take two,flat idlis like how mine is and fill anything you wish in between-I have used a fried egg that is salted and peppered for flavour, a strip of cheese(as I try to avoid cheese), a slice of tomato and used a toothpick with an olive to hold them together.

A nice spicy dry red chilly and tomato chutney accompanies this Idliwich (read sandwich)
Using a burger patty or a slice of salami goes well as well along with cucumber,lettuce or mayo! Do mix n match!
