Beetroot Dosas With Banana Stem Sambhar

 Grate beetroot and grind it well with a green chilly and add this ground mix to the dosa batter. If desired, you can lightly saute this beetroot before adding to the dosa batter. Allow it to stand for a while before you draw out the dosa patern on the tawa.
 Served it with a sambhar made with Banana stem. Just the usual method of preparing sambhar,the difference is I have added diced banana stem after peeling off and discarding the outer covering of the stem, to the dal. Recipe for Sambhar has alreaady been given in an earlier post.
The overpowering pink colour is from the beets :) Go for it!

Normal is Boring!!! Chuck yout plain, white batter and replace/add to it  other colourful & healthier versions.
