Sweet Hearts-a simple dessert

Toying around with a bottle of Nutella the past week and finally decided that I had to something more creative besides licking its contents or the rim everytime I open and take a peek...just a tiny lil' peek that's all :p

So took out all my negative energy for the day on a couple of disgestive biscuits, crushed them in a ziplock bag with a rolling pin later in my food processor along with three nice heapfuls of this beautiful, brown, luscious, sinful beauty...Nutella-the adjectives are endless and what it adds to your waistline is permanent! GULP again!

So these babes were crushed along with Nutella and don't think I am nutty...but I had to add a nice tbsp of crunchy peanut butter as well...Sundays are days to binge and rest, agreed! I can see the positive nods in agreement to what I just stated :) that's being a good sport atleast while reading my blog!

So the trio make a nice crumble, you can add some melted butter which will bind and hold them all together, I didn't! Lay this out neatly in the tray of choice, you can add/grind along with this nuts of your choice. Set it in the fridge.

While that was setting, I got working on the next layer with cream and icing sugar, beat it well with my wire whisk and added to it another tsp of Nutella and spread this across the set layer of digestive biscuits & Nutella. Keep it again in the fridge to set.
Decorate it however you want-with sprinkles ,chocolate shavings/curls/some fruit-the sky is the limit and it's all about your creativity and blending of colours and tastes

Cut/Slice when it is chilled and serve it prior to dessert time only. The creamy layer is soft and may melt.
In the above pic, I have just played around with the afternoon light making its way through my dining room. Miles to go in photography...so much to learn, a lot to share, lots to cook, places to visit, cuisines to taste...one life to live to the fullest :)
