Happy Birthday Papa!

Today was my father's 73rd Birthday!

If he were alive, we would have all taken turns to have called him. It's going to be a year since his passing and no amount of candles lit can be as bright as the light he gave and shed on us or anyone whose lives he brushed in his lifetime...

I cannot stop thinking about him-the one whose untimely and sudden death led me to this inspirational journey...I never knew I had it in me to talk through the language he loved the most-food.

I know for sure I have miles to go before I sleep...until then let me fill these pages of my life for my children and for you readers who know me, got to know me or don't know me that well...I want my pics and my recipes to be around when I am not there for my kids someday-to handhold them without any grief in their hearts and to face the world and the kitchen and they should always be able to cook up a storm with the few ingredients they have...they should live through these pages

My father's life was not meant to have been snuffed away the way it did, but then again when I look back, I am glad for him that it was peaceful and it was the way he would have wanted to have gone-with pride and not to have been bedridden so that he had to depend on others to take care of him or watch others nurse him...
Until we meet again Pa...signing off-your mol

P.S-Pa, I love you! :(
