Grilled Chicken Drumsticks

I love Grilling, because it brings such a wide smile on my husband's face and he actually sets him earlier at the table to lunch or dinner whenever I do so...as he finds it the healthiest and I do agree with him but I just despise all the preparation and the wait! coz I just want to see him dig in! I do try always to add a fresh salad alongside for colour and presentation and of course the obvious-veggies are good for our bellies-they have all the fibres in them!

The preparation stage is the most important in any grilling process-got these lovely,sexy legs-drumsticks. made a few gashes here and there, rubbed in some lemon, then dunked them in some curd mixed with salt, chilly powder,ginger-garlic,Cinnamon-Cloves-Cardamon powder, pepper powder and massaged them well until each leg was thoroughly coated. You can add a tbsp of olive oil as well/any cooking oil to this mix. Keep in the fridge for an hour or more. Makes them more succulent!

 Adjust your oven to the grill mode-I wouldn't be able to advise you on that as each person's oven/grill would seem different to me. Place the marinated drumsticks after an hour or more on your grill rack/wire rack in the oven, ensure that it drips into the oven tray otherwise there will be a mess to clean after! My drumsticks took close to half an hour to forty minutes, You can keep basting it(brush some oil over it) and turning it with your tongs so that  the entire drumstick gets grilled well.

Once done, serve it like so with some onion rings and a lemon wedge! Enjoy it hot! This is one of the healthiest ways to eat Chicken. I did crush some dried Fenugreek leaves over one or two.
