My Onam Breakfast




Yeah Readers,this was my edible platter this morning. Designed my fermented Lentils Batter(Dosa Batter) in a floral design on the hot tawa. Once it became crisp and brown on both sides, I arranged all these lovely fruits and veggies like so to keep up with the mood of the festive season I guess...it's a lonely one to be frank. The husband has gone to be with his folks, I couldn't, owing to my commitments at home and with my students. My older son is in college and the younger one is not much of "a feast on the banana leaf type"(which is typical of any Onam feast)...and he has to have his non-veg. So the fervour has died down...Nevertheless, "the healthy me" has created this simple piece of art and feel good that not a single pretty, fragrant flower was plucked and used to display the mood of the festive season. I haven't cooked any of the veggies either as I just love a lovely crunch in the mouth in the morning.
I have spread some red chutney over the dosa and sprinkled with some chutney powder as well for colour,flavour and spice. The recipe to my red chutney is written in an earlier post on my variety dosas.
