Patties on Stir-fry Beets




Beetroot was grated and tossed about in a tsp of oil with a thinly sliced onion and a finely chopped green chilly. Add half a tsp of turmeric powder and salt to taste.Place a lid over the dish until cooked. Do not over cook it, it should be done in less than eight minutes. This was laid out as the bed on which the patties(recipes given in older posts) Garnish it with a few curry leaves.

The Beetroot Raitha was just finely chopped  tbsp of beets, an onion, a tomato, a green chilly with curd. If the curd is too thick, dilute it with two tbsps of water.Sprinkle in salt and pepper and before serving slid in a few boondi (fried bengal gram flour). Serve it cold-it can be used as a dip for the patties.
